Yesterday the BBC Proms announced their 2015 season. Many of our distinguished alumni and professors feature in the great concerts we can look forward to in the coming months.

In the Last Night of the Proms alumnus Benjamin Grosvenor will perform under the baton of Marin Alsop, who a few months ago conducted the Academy’s Symphony Orchestra in Britten’s War Requiem at Southbank Centre.
Featured Academy professors include Semyon Bychkov,Gary Carpenter, Michael Cox and Mark van de Wiel,Tansy Davies, David Hill, Timothy Jones, Oliver Knussen,James O’Donnell, Robin Ticciati and Jack Liebeck, who will perform in a special Prom devoted to our fictional neighbour Sherlock Holmes.
