Melbourne Ballet Company presents Archè - The Concourse

Following its inaugural sell out Concourse premiere season in March, Melbourne Ballet Company returns with Archè.

Archè is a narrative-driven original ballet that is very accessible to a vast demographic. Archè is based on the age-old classic Swan Lake, with inspiration taken from The Greek Myth – Leda and The Swan, and The Dying Swan. This program explores much of the original narrative and embraces some of the classical repertoire. Hoy, has structured this work around his unique choreographic style and has developed a score including music by P. Tchaikovsky, L. Einaudi, E.Morricone, and E. Elgar.

Archè was premiered in Melbourne in 2015 and was widely critically acclaimed! With the support of the Playing Australia, Archè toured nationally in 2016 and was sold-out in most venues across the tour. With strong ticket sales and very positive audience feedback, MBC is now looking forward to touring the production internationally in 2017.
