We've just officially presented the 32th Trieste Film Festival, which despite the new formula imposed by the Covid-19 health emergency (the 50 + titles scheduled can be seen online at MYmovies) doesn't give up its historic ′′ mission ": which is, yes, to bring to Italy the best of Eastern Central European cinema, but also to keep alive, through cinema, the memory of the most important pages of the history of this part of the old continent. The #TSFF42 event is from January 21th to 30th - check out all the titles on www.triestefilmfestival.it!

The Underground screening will also be linked to one of the two traditional Trieste Film Festival awards, the Eastern Star Award: born to report the personalities of the cinema world who, with their careers, have built a bridge between East and West, the award This year goes to Miki Manojlovi ć, a great interpreter who made himself thanks to his partnership with Kusturica (besides Underground, we remember Dad... he's on a business trip and Black Cat, White Cat) to then cross the borders of Yugoslavia working with directors Like Fran çois Ozon (Criminal Lovers), Giuliano Montaldo (St. Petersburg Demons), Sam Garbarski (Irina Palm, who is worth the European Film Award nomination).
The Cinema Warrior Award, established to reward the stubbornness, sacrifice and insanity of those who ′′ fight ′′ for cinema, instead goes to the U.N.I.T.A. Association
