🔸 Wegen strenger gewordener Corona-Auflagen musste der Ticketverkauf für Bayreuth Baroque beendet und bisher gekaufte Tickets für das Markgräfliches Opernhaus Bayreuth storniert werden. Alle Veranstaltungen finden jedoch statt.

🔸 Alle Ticketinhaber haben das exklusive Recht bis 27.8.2020 - 24:00 Uhr - mit ihrem Guthaben im hygienisch abgesicherten Saalplan noch einmal zu buchen.

🔸 Alle, die noch kein Ticket haben, erhalten ab 28.8.2020 - 10:00 Uhr - die Möglichkeit, verfügbare Restkarten im Ticketshop auf www.bayreuthbaroque.de zu buchen.

🔸 Carlo il Calvo – Karl der Kahle wurde 1738 am führenden Opernhaus Roms, dem Teatro delle Dame, uraufgeführt. Die Besetzung bestand ausschließlich aus Männern und Kastraten. Frauen durften im Kirchenstaat nicht öffentlich auftreten. Porporas Oper basiert auf einem venezianischen Libretto von 1699, das unter verschiedenen Titeln von Komponisten wie Vinaccesi, Keller, Alessandro Scarlatti, Orlandini, Predieri, Fioré, Hurlebusch, Telemann und Vivaldi vertont wurde. Die Partitur hat sich im Konservatorium zu Neapel erhalten.
Die Handlung führt in jene Epoche des frühen Mittelalters, als das Europa Karls des Großen unter den Händen seiner zerstrittenen Erben zerfiel. Ihre Besonderheit besteht darin, dass der Titelheld ein Kind ist. Porpora lässt es im Gegensatz zu seinen Kollegen sogar einige Verse singen. Lothar der Deutsche, sein Stiefbruder, Enkel Karls des Großen, entführt den rechtmäßigen Thronerben, um ihm die Herrschaft zu entreißen. Das gibt Karls Mutter Gelegenheit zu herzzerreißenden Verzweiflungsszenen und atemberaubenden Gefühlsausbrüchen. Den durch falsche Berater zum Bösen verführten Lothar darf Max Emanuel Cencic in pathologische Hysterie treiben. Allein Franco Fagioli hat als edler Ritter Adalgiso das Zeug, dem Tyrannen Einhalt zu gebieten und die gottgewollte Ordnung wiederherzustellen. Dabei gerät der Sohn Lothars in Konflikt mit dem 4. Gebot.

🔸 Due to stricter health regulations, ticket sales for the Festival Bayreuth Baroque had to be closed. Tickets previously purchased for the Margravial Opera House have been cancelled and reimbursed. However, all performances will take place.

🔸 Current ticket holders have the exclusive right to rebook until 27.8.2020 Midnight with their credit balance for the new secure seating plan of the Margravial Opera House.

🔸 Carlo il Calvo – ‘Charles the Bald’ – was first performed in 1738 at Rome’s leading opera house, the Teatro delle Dame. The cast consisted entirely of men and castrati. Women were not allowed to appear in public in the Papal States. Porpora’s opera is based on a Venetian libretto dating from 1699 which, under various titles, has been set to music by composers such as Vinacessi, Keller, Alessandro Scarlatti, Orlandini, Predieri, Fioré, Hurlebusch, Telemann and Vivaldi. The score has been preserved at the Conservatory in Naples.
The plot is set in that period of the early Middle Ages when Charlemagne’s Europe was disintegrating at the hands of his quarrelling heirs. Its distinctive feature is that the titular hero is a child. In contrast to his colleagues, Porpora even gives him some verses to sing. Louis the German, Charles’ half-brother and Charlemagne’s grandson, abducts the legitimate heir to the throne in order to rob him of his sovereignty. This provides Charles’s mother with the opportunity for heart-wrenching scenes of despair and breathtaking outbursts of felling. In the role of Louis, seduced into doing evil by treacherous advisers, Max Emanuel Cencic has the chance to launch into pathological hysteria. Only Franco Fagioli, as the noble knight Adalgiso, has what it takes to put a stop to the tyrant and re-establish the God-given order. But in doing so, Louis’s son comes into conflict with the fourth commandment…

🔸 En raisons de consignes sanitaires renforcées, la vente de billets pour le Festival Bayreuth baroque a dû être fermée. Les billets achetés à ce jour pour l’Opéra des Margraves sont annulés et remboursés. Toutefois , tous les concerts et opéras prévus sont maintenus.

🔸Tous les possesseurs actuels d’un billet ont jusqu’au 27 août 2020 à minuit un droit prioritaire d’acquisition d’une nouvelle réservation dans l’Opéra des Margraves sécurisé sur le plan sanitaire.

🔸À compter du 28 août à 10h00 , la vente des billets sera ouverte à tous ceux et celles qui n’avaient pas encore acheté de billet au ticketshop www.bayreuthbaroque.de .

La création de Carlo il Calvo – Charles le Chauve a eu lieu en 1738, au principal opéra de Rome, le Teatro delle Dame. Les chanteurs étaient exclusivement des hommes et des castrats. Les femmes n’étaient pas autorisées à se produire en public dans les États pontificaux. Cet opéra de Porpora est basé sur un livret vénitien de 1699, mis en musique sous différents titres par des compositeurs tels que Vinaccesi, Keller, Alessandro Scarlatti, Orlandini, Predieri, Fioré, Hurlebusch, Telemann et Vivaldi. La partition a été conservée au conservatoire de Naples.
L’action se déroule au début du Moyen ge, à l’époque où l’Europe de Charlemagne traverse un processus de désintégration entre les mains de ses héritiers rivaux. Sa particularité tient au fait que le personnage principal est un enfant. Contrairement à ses collègues, Porpora lui fait même chanter quelques vers. Lothaire, son demi-frère germanique et petit-fils de Charlemagne, kidnappe l’héritier légitime afin d’accéder au trône. La mère de Charles est en proie au désespoir et connaît des réactions passionnées impressionnantes. Max Emanuel Cencic incarne Lothaire, manipulé par de faux conseillers et en proie à une hystérie maladive. Seul Franco Fagioli, le noble chevalier Adalgiso, est à même d’arrêter le tyran et de rétablir l’ordre divin. Le fils de Lothaire sera alors amené à violer le quatrième commandement.
