Μέσα από μια ανοιχτή συζήτηση με δημοσιογράφους, οι ΔΙΑΛΟΓΟΙ αναζητούν το πώς ο καταιγισμός πληροφοριών από πηγές πολλαπλής προέλευσης και η εξαιρετικά γρήγορη εξάπλωση τους, αποτελεί το νέο δεδομένο στην ενημέρωσή μας.
Τι συμβαίνει ωστόσο όταν ένα νέο φαινόμενο το διερευνά παράλληλα η επιστημονική και η δημοσιογραφική κοινότητα; Η ανάγκη «ελεύθερης» διάθεσης δεδομένων αλλά και η ανάγκη εξειδίκευσης ώστε αυτά τα δεδομένα να γίνουν ικανές «πηγές» επιστημονικής, και όχι μόνο, ενημέρωσης θα βρεθούν στον πυρήνα του live webcast των ΔΙΑΛΟΓΩΝ.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) DIALOGUES discuss the quantity and quality of information available in the midst of the pandemic.
Through an open discussion with journalists, the DIALOGUES will explore the challenge of staying informed in the midst of a deluge of information spreading rapidly from a multitude of sources.
What happens when the biggest new story of the day is being investigated simultaneously by both scientists and journalists? The balance between the need for the freely available data and the need for specialization, so that this data is interpreted soundly and responsibly will be at the core of the DIALOGUES live webcast.
