For 20 years, Panagiotis Karousos has had an uninterrupted presence on the international music scene as a composer and pioneer in contemporary Greek musical creation.
He has distinguished himself in the USA, Canada, Argentina, and European cities, London, Paris, Sofia, Berlin, The Hague, with appearances in concert halls such as the Lincoln Center, the Place des Arts, the Royal College of Music, the Sofia National Opera and Ballet, the Amphithéâtre Richelieu Université Paris-Sorbonne, the Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal, the Small Theater of Ancient Epidaurus, the Ecclesiasteria (Conservatory) of Ancient Messina, the Veakeion Theater, the UN at the United Nations headquarters in Manhattan, etc. He has given hundreds of concerts at international festivals and major music centers, presenting his operas "Prometheus Bound", "Trachiniae - Olympic Flame", "Alexander the Great", and works such as the "Symphony of Liberty", the "Piano Concerto", the "Montreal Suite", the Oratorio: "The Song of Nations". In 2014, the Athens Symphony Orchestra performed Symphony No. 4 "of the Earth", while his works have been presented on the Third Program of ERT.
As a Teacher and Student Trainer, composer Panagiotis Karousos has given many pre-concert lectures and seminars on ancient Greek prosody (Prosody Analysis "Prosody as a connecting link between opera and ancient Greek literature").
