HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2014 TO ALL OF YOU
Dear friends and colleagues, Brothers and Sisters in the ethnic Press and Media of Canada.
As
tonight we are welcoming the New Year 2014, on behalf of the members of
the Board of the organization, I want to express best wishes to all of
you and to your loved ones for good health, happiness and prosperous New
Year.
Over
the last decades, working together, we managed to bring changes to our
society and also we succeeded to get the attention of all levels of our
government and therefore get the benefits of their inclusive policies.
At the beginning of this month we had our second professional
Educational Seminar and Conference at Seneca College, here in Toronto,
well attended by almost more than 300 members from every province of the
Dominion of Canada. Taking this opportunity I want to thank you all for
taking time to come to Toronto in order to participate in this very
important event for your professional development. At the same time I
want to express our thanks to Seneca College, the President Mr. David
Agnew, and his staff, especially to Chris Dudley Chair of the school of
business and Professor Dr. Gabriel Huston, for their hard work in order
to have such a successful seminar and conference. Thanks are going also
to all professor participated in our seminar and the ones who travel
from the USA to be with us. I want also to thank Dr. George Gekas from
Ryerson University, for accepting to participate in our venue. At the
same time our thanks are going to the R. Hon. Steven Harper, Prime
Minister of Canada and to Hon. Shelly Glover, Minister of the Canadian
Heritage and the staff of her department for their understanding and
help provided to our sector and the inclusive policy they exercised.
