Το Nostos University με χαρά παρουσιάζει τον Ernõ Rubik, εφευρέτη του Κύβου του Ρούμπικ. Πριν από 45 χρόνια ο Rubik, ως καθηγητής
αρχιτεκτονικής και design, συνειδητοποίησε την ανάγκη να εξοικειώσει τους φοιτητές του με την έννοια της πολυπλοκότητας. Έτσι, σχεδίασε τον διάσημο κύβο, που στην αρχή έμοιαζε άλυτος, αλλά στη συνέχεια, και αφού προκάλεσε τον ενθουσιασμό σε ορισμένα από τα μεγαλύτερα «μυαλά» του κόσμου, εξελίχθηκε σε ένα από τα πιο διαδεδομένα παιχνίδια-γρίφους όλων των εποχών! Τα τρία πρώτα απογεύματα, το Nostos University θα φιλοξενήσει καλλιτέχνες, γνωστούς για την ικανότητά τους να παίζουν με περίπλοκες συνθέσεις και κατασκευές. Σας περιμένουμε στον Φάρο να παρακολουθήσετε από κοντά τους καλλιτέχνες εν δράσει, και όσο εκείνοι προσπαθούν να λύσουν, με σχεδόν μαγικό τρόπο, εντυπωσιακούς γρίφους, εσείς να μάθετε πώς να φτιάχνετε ένα μωσαϊκό από Κύβους του Ρούμπικ, κατασκευές από ντόμινο, κάστρα από τραπουλόχαρτα και έργα τέχνης από ανακυκλώσιμα είδη! Κάθε βράδυ θα ανακαλύπτετε και κάτι καινούργιο.
Από την Τετάρτη έως την Κυριακή, μερικοί από τους πιο γρήγορους λύτες του Ρούμπικ στον κόσμο θα μοιραστούν μαζί σας μυστικά για την απάντηση του γρίφου. Ανάλογα με το επίπεδό σας, τα μυστικά θα είναι από απλά, για αρχάριους, μέχρι πιο περίπλοκα, για τους πιο προχωρημένους.
Την Παρασκευή το βράδυ, θα γιορτάσουμε τον Κύβο μαζί με τον Ernõ Rubik, σε μία από τις σπάνιες εμφανίσεις του. Ενώ το Σάββατο το Summer Nostos Festival διοργανώνει έναν μεγάλο διαγωνισμό για τους πιο γρήγορους λύτες από όλο τον κόσμο.
Το Summer Nostos Festival 2019 διοργανώνεται και υλοποιείται με την αποκλειστική δωρεά του Ιδρύματος Σταύρος Νιάρχος, σε συνεργασία με το Κεντρο Πολιτισμου Ιδρυμα Σταυρος Νιαρχος.

Nostos University is proud to present Ernο Rubik, the inventor of the Rubik’s Cube. Forty-five years ago, as a teacher of architecture and design, Rubik found that his students needed to learn to embrace complexity. So he designed his famous cube puzzle, which at first was considered too difficult to solve, but then was enthusiastically received by some of the world’s greatest minds before becoming the bestselling puzzle toy of all time! The first three nights of Nostos University will feature artists known for their complex configurations.
Come to the Lighthouse for classes early in the evening, and stay late to see the artists hard at work making astounding structures. Learn how to create Rubik’s Cube mosaics, domino art, card castles and recycled art like you have never seen before! Visit each night to learn a variety of skills.
From Wednesday to Saturday, you will have an opportunity to learn how to solve the Rubik's Cube from some of the fastest speedcubers in the world, how to solve the Rubik’s Cube, from basic methods for beginners to advanced techniques and secret tips and tricks for pros.
On Friday night, we will celebrate the cube with a rare appearance by Ernο Rubik himself, and on Saturday, the Summer Nostos Festival will host an all-day speedcubing competition for cubers from around the world.
The Summer Nostos Festival 2019 is organized and takes place thanks to an exclusive grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, in collaboration with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
