Δημόσια διαδικτυακή συζήτηση με θέμα «Geopolitical evolutions in eastern Mediterranean and the broader Middle East - The role of Greece as a pillar of stability in the region» διοργανώνει το Ινστιτούτο Εξωτερικών Υποθέσεων, την Τρίτη, 5 Οκτωβρίου 2021.
Σκοπός της είναι να αναλυθούν οι πρόσφατες εξελίξεις στην παγκόσμια γεωπολιτική όπως η πρόσφατη ανακοίνωση της συμμαχίας AUKUS μεταξύ της Αυστραλίας, του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου και των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών, και πώς επηρεάζουν την ευρύτερη περιοχή μας και την Ελλάδα ειδικότερα.
Άλλα θέματα της συζήτησης θα είναι η στάση του ΝΑΤΟ, οι αμυντικές δυνατότητες της Ευρώπης, οι συμμαχίες μεταξύ χωρών στην περιοχή, η εμβάθυνση του στρατηγικού διαλόγου Ελλάδος-ΗΠΑ, τα προγράμματα αμυντικών εξοπλισμών κ.ά.
Η διεξαγωγή του διαλόγου θα γίνει στην αγγλική γλώσσα με ταυτόχρονη μετάφραση στα ελληνικά (σε δυο διαφορετικά link, ώστε οι θεατές να μπορούν να επιλέξουν την γλώσσα που προτιμούν). Η μετάδοση θα γίνει από το foreignaffairs.gr και από τα ακόλουθα links, ανάλογα με την γλώσσα.

Foreign Affairs Institute, Greece, (www.fainst.eu) is organizing an online discussion on "Geopolitical evolutions in eastern Mediterranean and the broader Middle East - The role of Greece as a pillar of stability in the region”, on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, 16:00 EET.
Its purpose is to analyze recent developments in world’s geopolitics such as the recent announcement of the AUKUS alliance between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and how they affect Greece’s broader region and Greece in particular.
Other topics of discussion will be the stance of NATO, the European defense capabilities, the alliances between countries in the region, the deepening of the strategic dialogue between Greece and the USA, the armament programs, etc.
The discussion will be conducted in English with simultaneous translation into Greek (in different links, so that viewers can choose the language they prefer). The transmission will be from foreignaffairs.gr and from the following links, depending on the language.
