Messiaen: Turangalîla Symphonie

The Turangalîla-Symphonie is part of a trilogy inspired by the Tristan and Isolde legend. It was Messiaen’s first large orchestral piece and notable for inclusion of prominent solo parts for piano and ondes Martenot, an early electronic instrument known for its otherworldly sound,  with a soundscape wholly Messiaen’s own.
