Το ΕΜΣΤ παρουσιάζει την πρώτη ατομική έκθεση του εικαστικού καλλιτέχνη Viron Erol Vert στην Ελλάδα, με τίτλο The Hermit. Η επιτόπια εγκατάσταση του Vert, που δημιουργήθηκε ειδικά για το Μουσείο, είναι εμπνευσμένη από το έργο του Ιάννη Ξενάκη. Στόχος της είναι να εξερευνήσει διάφορες πτυχές της πρακτικής του πρωτοποριακού συνθέτη, αρχιτέκτονα και μαθηματικού, καθώς και να αναδείξει την επιρροή που άσκησε στους σύγχρονους δημιουργούς.
Ο καλλιτέχνης έχει δημιουργήσει ένα εντυπωσιακό, διαδραστικό περιβάλλον με αισθητική επηρεασμένη από κλαμπ του Βερολίνου, ο οποίος θα γεμίσει με ήχους που θα συνθέσουν σύγχρονοι πειραματικοί μουσικοί (Έλληνες και διεθνείς). Ο Vert προσκαλεί τους επισκέπτες να βυθιστούν και να απολαύσουν το ηχητικό και οπτικό περιβάλλον που έχει δημιουργήσει.
19.30-23.00: Ζωντανή μουσική σε επιμέλεια του KRAMA
Το KRAMA είναι μια κολεκτίβα, μια ανεξάρτητη πρωτοβουλία που λειτουργεί ως πλατφόρμα για καλλιτέχνες από ένα ευρύ φάσμα δημιουργικών πρακτικών. Μέσω μιας διεπιστημονικής προσέγγισης, η ομάδα φέρνει κοντά διαφορετικές μορφές καλλιτεχνικής έκφρασης σε μια προσπάθεια να δημιουργηθεί ένας διάλογος που ξεπερνά τα καλλιτεχνικά πεδία και τα γεωγραφικά σύνορα. Στον πυρήνα του KRAMA βρίσκεται η επιθυμία για τη δημιουργία χώρου (υλικού ή άυλου) για σύμπραξη, συνομιλία και πειραματισμό, με απώτερο σκοπό τον σχηματισμό κοινοτήτων που εξερευνούν τα κοινά σημεία αλλά και τη διαφορετικότητα τους στα όρια της mainstream κουλτούρας.

EΜΣΤ is pleased to present the first solo exhibition in Greece of the visual artist Viron Erol Vert, entitled The Hermit. The show will open on the 29th November with a live programme curated by KRAMA.
Viron Erol Vert’s site-specific immersive installation, The Hermit (2023), is created especially for the museum and is inspired by the work of Iannis Xenakis, the subject of two major exhibitions at EΜΣΤ in 2023-24. It aims to explore several aspects of the avant-garde composer, architect and mathematician’s practice as well as highlight the influence he has had on contemporary musicians and sound artists. The Hermit, is an immersive, interactive gathering space with a nightclub-inspired aesthetic which will be filled with sounds composed by contemporary experimental musicians (both local and international). Visitors are invited to immerse themselves and enjoy the enveloping audio-visual environment the artist has created.
The exhibition will be activated on several occasions throughout its duration with live music performances. On the day of the opening, KRAMA has curated a live music programme featuring four artists:
Jeph Vanger: The Thorns We Buried’: Exploring sound grains and live diffusion. NatCase: Transforming traditional logs into contemporary formats with sonified timestamps. Agatha & Kristianna Tsimpi: aposynthesi↹: A collaborative project exploring the synthesis of meaning through interactive audio interfaces.KRAMA is a collective, an independent initiative showcasing artists from a wide spectrum of creative practices. Through a multidisciplinary approach, we bring together different forms of artistic expression in an effort to create a dialogue that transcends creative fields and geographical boundaries. At the core of KRAMA lies a desire to create a space (tangible or intangible) for artists to converse, experiment, merge or deviate and ultimately form a community with shared commonalities and unique differences on the fringes of mainstream culture.
