It is believed that the garden is an earthly copy of paradise (lost and found), a symbol of the soul and life in its most beautiful manifestation – flowering. And black is the color of darkness, mourning, death. So what is the Black Garden? What is life when death is everywhere? And is it possible to bloom in the dark?
"THE BLACK GARDEN" is a documentary production based on the memories of children who witnessed the war in Nagorno-Karabakh thirty years ago ("Karabakh" – translated from the Turkic language means "black garden"). It always seems to us that war is something very far away. Something that can't happen to us. But this is not the case. In our time, any war concerns YOU personally.
