Join us for an online programme of talks exploring the subject of power in ancient Rome.
Taking inspiration from our current special exhibition on the emperor Nero, guest speakers including Mary Beard, Olivette Otele, Tom Holland and Ian Morris will explore Roman soft-power, dynasties, race, identity and much more. See the programme overview for the timetable of the week's talks here: http://ow.ly/yXos30rK756
The programme is accompanied by 25 online taster courses hosted by City Lit focusing on the ancient worlds that you can pre-book and attend during the week (please note these must be purchased separately here: http://ow.ly/ctM230rK74U). A selection of digital resources and video tours of our #NeroExhibition will also be available.
Classics Week 2021 is presented by City Lit and the British Museum.
