Maestro Placido Domingo returns to St. Petersburg to sing again Simone Boccanegru in the performance of Andrea De Rosa. The year of Stravinsky in the Mariinsky Theater is in full swing: ′′ Holy Spring ′′ and ′′ Hot-bird ′′ on the historical stage, ′′ Pulchinella ′′ and ′′ Card Game ′′ - on a new one (postponed from April 12, 22 May and October 14). ′′ Hot bird ′′ will be shown twice more: together with ′′ Parsley ′′ and at the evening of Fokin ballets - together with ′′ Chopiniana ′′ and ′′ Sheherazada ". Ballet classics fans will see ′′ Don Quixote ′′ and ′′ Sleeping Beauty ′′ (in Petip's choreography, Reconstructed by Sergei Vikharev). Vladimir Barnava's ′′ Daphne and Chloe ′′ will be shown in the Concert Hall under the control of Maestro Gergiev (postponed from April 24).⠀
In continuation of a series of events with the participation of soloists of the St. Petersburg Music House Ravil Islyamov (violin) will perform accompanied by the theater orchestra. The works of Mozart, Beethoven and Mendelssohn will be performed by virtuosos of Mariinsky under Lorenz Nasturiki-Gershovichi. Theatrical concerts with oriental and Italian fairy tales will delight young audience. The Trinity-Sergius Lavra choir will perform in front of the lovers of spiritual music, and the Mariinsky Theater choir will present a festive program on the first day of the Maslenical Week.⠀
