The UNWTO Barometer of January 2022 estimates that Mediterranean Europe is among the regions with the highest growth (+54%) and that globally international arrivals will return to pre-pandemic level in 2024
Like today tourism needed sustainable innovation, to find a new dimension after the pandemic. And since always no one in Italy foresee and interpret the innovation in tourism better than BITMilano, at fieramilanocity from Sunday 10 to Tuesday 12 April next to propose as the first big meeting of the sector present this year.
Focus on innovation will be crucial to recover the pre-Covid levels as soon as possible. For the latest UNWTO Barometer (January 2022), in 2021 international revenue increased 4% to 415 million from 400 in 2020, but still below pre-pandemic levels. With a +54%, Mediterranean Europe is one of the regions that has recovered the most while in the world the return of international arrivals to pre-pandemic levels is scheduled for 2024.
The areas and the program hosted buyer
This is why BITMilano’s commitment to innovation and sustainability will be even more intense this year, to respond to new demands from travelers, and as a result of the new needs of the chain workers: BIT 2022 will decline key business trends in both exhibitors' proposals along the way exhibition, as in the contents of a rich convention program.
To meet the different needs of workers, the demonstration will be declining in three areas, characterized by key themes for tourism: Leisure, MICE, BeTech.
Inside Leisure you will meet questions and offers of Italian and international tourism in all its declinations, from food-gastronomic tourism to the slow and sustainable tourism to the proposals from all over the world.
BeTech will group companies that offer business & networking services and exclusive digital and social content, both physical and virtual. It will represent the soul of BIT that looks at the technological avant-garde in the industry and offers them unedited visibility.
MICE Village will be the area entirely dedicated to the events, meetings and congresses sector, reserved exclusively for MICE operators and top buyers. He will understand everything about business trips and corporate proposals.
Among the regions that, to date they have confirmed, we find Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardia, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Marche, Molise, Piedmont, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany and Veneto and all are working to take over Ntarsi at its best to promote one's territory.
And, to spread the beauty of Italy around the world, promoting the unified image of the national tourist offer, Enit, the National Tourism Agency will be present.
