On December 9 and 11, the soloists of the musicAeterna orchestra will perform in the Radio House six suites of Johann Sebastian Bach for cello solo. Great Bach wasn't a cellist, but once again ahead of his time and created the most meaningful cycle of solo works in music history for a tool that was still considered suitable only for the bass line.
Taking the baroque dance suite, Bach, who was not particularly close to this environment, created six different stories that reveal the incredible potential of the cello at the cost of ultimate technical skills and, not least, special spiritual depth, because even in secular compositions, Bach remained a composer Religious thinking.
The last hundred years Bakhov suites are an integral part of the repertoire of any concert cellist, musicAeterna soloists are no exception. On December 9, Alexey Zhilin, Miriam Prandi and Evgeny Rumyantsev will play suites No. 1, 3 and 5, and on December 11, suites No. 2, 4 and 6 will be performed by Rabbani Aldangora , Alexey Zhilin and Miriam Prandi.
