THE ART OF CHILDREN'S EYES

oni️When Christmas tradition and its immense cultural heritage meet the simplest artistic expressions of children.

180️In Oslo, Norway there is the International Museum for Children's Art which collects a rich collection of art by very young people from 180 countries (Det internasjonale barnekunstmuseet); it was founded in 1986 thanks to a Soviet-origin couple Rafael and Alla Goldin Venne.

The museum card explains that in "Al Lille Frøens you see the world through the eyes of children and understand how children's art brings aesthetic values. The museum is about children’s art as a living part of popular art and also as an important element in our national and universal culture”.

sento️Starting from these assumptions, frankly, I feel like expressing my warmest congratulations for the review of the three hundred suggestive drawings that gave life (and are still on display) to the Christmas exhibition of the Sanctuary oratory of Baby Jesus of Prague in Arenzano.

ont️The fact that children pass on aesthetic values and be part of a universal popular cultural heritage has not always been taken for granted. But today, in some museums, you can also admire the childish attempts of artists of the past. At the Carnevalet in Paris, for example, Gustave Courbet is also represented by fifteen years old by a tiny oil on paper pasted to the table (Portrait de jeune maison, 1834). In this case you can’t talk about “masterpiece”, if not in the literal sense of “first masterpiece”.

T️ All the artistic beauty in a school exhibition in which every expression, even the simplest one, the "immediate" that feeds from the diaphanous soul of the little ones, is beyond a great work of art.

U️ A review of over 300 simple works, from childhood to early adolescence, where the ability of color is nourished and lives with the expressiveness and ideas of every little local, national and international artist.

In children’s drawings there remains something powerfully suggestive, the power to give an always renewed image of the world and to realize the immediate fusion between the action of the hand and the idea.

l️The Club for UNESCO in Genoa metropolitan city intends to emphasize the high expressive value of every form of art reviewed at the oratory of the Church of the Sanctuary of Arenzano. In an international Christmas, marked by the great international twinning, which believes more and more in the design and tourist and cultural routes for the protection, valorization and promotion of our intangible cultural heritage Certain activities, like this one, must definitely be mentioned, applauded and recognized as wonderful, simple tools of education and of civil coexistence.
