The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Mr. Andreas Katsaniotis in Canada

 The Deputy Minister of Foreign Αffairs of Greece, responsible for Greeks Abroad, visited Canada.

His first stop was Montreal. From there he visited Ottawa, the capital of Canada. He then visited Toronto and then Calgary and Vancouver.

He was received everywhere with great enthusiasm, being not only himself very happy and pleased, but also his entourage. He left a very good impression everywhere, talking to everyone about everything with sincerity and honesty.

During his visit to our Holy Archdiocese, he was toured at our “Metropolitan Center” and the Holy Church of Saints Panteleimon, Anna & Paraskevi in Markham. He also visited the day school of “Metamorphosis,” where he enjoyed the company of the students and talked to them. The children sang the Greek and Canadian National Anthems and recited a selection of poems.

He was toured in the building of our Holy Archdiocese in all places. He met with the students of our Theological Academy and the working staff of our Archdiocese. In the end he had a special meeting with His Eminence Archbishop Sotirios.

Our Holy Archdiocese offered lunch to both the Deputy Minister and his entourage. The following persons attended the meal: the Deputy Minister Mr. Andreas Katsaniotis, His Eminence the Archbishop of Canada Sotirios, the Consul General of Greece Mr. Victor Maligoudis, His Grace the Bishop of Patara Athenagoras, His Grace the Bishop of Zinoupolis Iakovos, the Director of the Diplomatic Office Mr. Christodoulos Margaritis, the Associate of Press Relations Mr. Christos Mpokas and the Security Officer Mr. Antonios Antonopoulos.

We warmly thank the Deputy Minister and his entourage and wish him every success. As we move towards the Holy Week and the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we extend our wishes to the Deputy Minister and his entourage, but also to our Homeland Greece, for a blessed Holy Week and a Happy Easter.
