, συμμετέχει ως προσκεκλημένος ομιλητής στο διεθνές διαδικτυακό συμπόσιο: «#Cyprus in the Long Late Antiquity», το οποίο πραγματοποιείται στις 13-15 Ιανουαρίου 2021 και είναι ανοικτό στο ευρύ κοινό κατόπιν δωρεάν εγγραφής.

Η ομιλία του Γ. Δεληγιαννάκη θα λάβει χώρα την Τετάρτη, 13 Ιανουαρίου 2021 στις 12.30 μ.μ. (EET), και έχει τίτλο: "Late #Roman Cyprus in Context". Θα επικεντρωθεί στη διερεύνηση των μετασχηματισμών της Κύπρου κατά τον 6ο και 7ο αιώνα, εστιάζοντας σε βασικές λογοτεχνικές και επιγραφικές πηγές, αντιπαραθέτοντας παρόμοιες εξελίξεις στο Αιγαίο, τη Συρία-Παλαιστίνη και την Αίγυπτο.

Το συμπόσιο, το οποίο φιλοξενεί ως κεντρικό ομιλητή τον Δρ. Marcus Rautman (University of Missouri), συγκεντρώνει αρχαιολόγους και ιστορικούς που ασχολούνται με τη μελέτη της Κύπρου κατά την ύστερη αρχαιότητα μεταξύ του 6ου και του 8ου αιώνα. Διοργανωτής είναι το Ioannou Centre for Classical and Byzantine Studies του University of Oxford, με τη στήριξη και υπό την αιγίδα του Ύπατου Αρμοστή της Κύπρου στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο.
