Nana Mouskouri, a voice for the world, at Place des Arts
by The Fogel-Sabourin Production
Written by Panayoti Karoussos
Nana Mouskouri’s long and distinguished career look like it will be continuing for long time. The concert that she gave the 24th of January at Place des Arts was an exemplary of great star's appearance. Especially for us, who we are Greeks, she is an honor and pride. She works for the peace and she is also involved as elected member for Greece in the European Parliament, and her passionate involvement in women’s and children’s issues in that setting as well as on behalf of UNICEF, for which she is a roving ambassador.
She starts and she finishes her concert with Greek songs, and she sung also in French, Spanish and English. Her voice is like a fountain with a lovely vibrato. «I studied 8 years the classical training to be an opera signer» she told me after the concert, and that shows very well. She sung some of the songs with laminate plaque and KRINOS FOOD offered the food and the wine. There I saw the Governor General of Canada Romeo Leblanc and the Mayor of Montreal Pierre Bourque and Howard Lowe president of PBS. Also among others I saw the owner of KRINOS FOOD Mr. Giannopoulos the Dimitrios Yantsulis first vice president of NBG Canada with his wife Egolfi.
