Beste muziekvrienden,
Over een kleine vier maanden is het weer zover; dan start de derde editie van het Blaricum Music Festival!
De festivalperiode loopt dit jaar van 18 tot en met 28 juni en het complete programma vindt u op www.blaricumfestival.com. Het Blaricum Music Festival Orchestra – net als vorig jaar met de Franse dirigent Mathieu Herzog als Artistic Director – is vanaf 11 juni al in het dorp om te repeteren voor de concerten die ze geven. Samen met de fantastische solisten en ensembles die komen maken zijn Blaricum een kleine drie weken tot dé internationale ‘hotspot’ als het om (klassieke) muziek gaat!
Wij zijn erg trots op het feit dat het festival dit jaar (inclusief kinderconcerten die niet op de website staan) 24 concerten telt met sterren als Augustin Dumay, Steven Isserlis, Daniel Müller-Schott, Barry Douglas, Kristóf Baráti, Maxym Rysanov, Camilla Tilling, Roby Lakatos en dat we dit jaar ook 4 masterclasses hebben van Augustin Dumay (viool), Steven Isserlis (cello), Kirill Troussov (viool) en Barry Douglas (piano). Op het Oranjeweitje staat dit jaar voor het eerst de Classic Express (een vrachtwagen die ‘uitgroeit’ tot een heuse concertzaal) en hier worden de kinderconcerten gegeven (twee dagen exclusief voor leerlingen van de Blaricumse basisscholen en een dag voor alle andere kinderen).
Het programma staat, dus kunnen we onze tijd nu 100% wijden aan het zoeken naar meer sponsoren/donateurs/adverteerders (we zijn blij dat alle partners van vorig jaar weer mee doen maar uitbreiding van het aantal partners blijft zeer noodzakelijk), de marketing en de organisatie van het event zelf (inclusief de zoektocht naar nog een aantal gastgezinnen en zeer betrokken/actieve vrijwilligers). Wilt u ons ergens mee helpen of heeft u nog tips? We horen graag van u!

Dear music lovers,
Less than 4 months to go before the third edition of the Blaricum Music Festival takes place!
This year’s festival period runs from the 18th until the 28th of June and the full program can be seen on www.blaricumfestival.com. The Blaricum Music Festival Orchestra – like last year with French conductor Mathieu Herzog as their Artistic Director – arrives on the 11th to start rehearsing for the concerts they play. Together with all soloists and ensembles they’ll turn Blaricum into an international ‘music hotspot’ for a bit under three weeks!
We’re very proud that the festival (including some children’s concerts which are not on the website) consists of 24 concerts with ‘stars’ like Augustin Dumay, Steven Isserlis, Daniel Müller-Schott, Barry Douglas, Kristóf Baráti, Maxym Rysanov, Camilla Tilling, Roby Lakatos and that we’ll also have 4 masterclasses by Augustin Dumay (violin), Steven Isserlis (cello), Kirill Troussov (violin) and Barry Douglas (piano). The children’s concerts will take place in a fantastic concerthall-truck which will be parked on the ‘Oranjeweitje’.
Seeing that the program is ready, we can now focus on getting more sponsoring/donors/advertisers (although all partners of last year prolonged their commitment this stays very necessary), marketing and the actual organizing of the event.
