To Ίδρυμα Schwarz σε συνεργασία με τη Γεννάδειο Βιβλιοθήκη της Αμερικανικής Σχολής Κλασικών Σπουδών στην Αθήνα παρουσιάζει για 9η συνεχή χρονιά τις Νύχτες Κλασικής Μουσικής στη Γεννάδειο Βιβλιοθήκη. Από τις 29 Σεπτεμβρίου έως και την 1η Οκτωβρίου 2023, τo Curtis on Tour, The Nina von Maltzahn Global Touring Initiative of the Curtis Institute of Music, η παγκόσμια περιοδεία του Ινστιτούτου Μουσικής Curtis, σταθμεύει και πάλι στην Αθήνα με ένα ονειρικό φεστιβάλ μουσικής δωματίου, όπως κάθε φθινόπωρο από το 2015.
H φετινή περιοδεία περιλαμβάνει και την παγκόσμια πρεμιέρα του έργου “Two Fantasies” (τρίο εγχόρδων) που συνέθεσε ο απόφοιτος του Curtis Μίχαελ Ντζοάπστρομ (Σύνθεση '11) και αποτελεί ανάθεση από το Curtis Institute of Music αποκλειστικά για αυτή την περιοδεία.
Οι απόφοιτοι του Curtis Ντένις Τσμελένσκυ, Μαρία Γιούντενιτς, Έμμα Μάινρενκεν, Χεϊσού Λι, Γκρέις Τακέδα, Τζιν Κιμ, Τζόσουα Χάλπερν και Παλάβι Μαχιντάρα συμπράττουν σε ένα πρόγραμμα τριών συναυλιών που θα μεταδοθούν και ζωντανά μέσω YouTube από τις ιστοσελίδες της Γενναδείου Βιβλιοθήκης και του Ιδρύματος Schwarz με ελεύθερη πρόσβαση.
Η ευρωπαϊκή περιοδεία Curtis on Tour, που εκκινεί από την Αθήνα, θα συνεχιστεί τον Οκτώβριο στη Γερμανία (Konzerthaus Berlin) & στην Ιταλία (Salone Dugentesco, Βερτσέλι).

This event, running from the 29th of September to the 1st of October 2023, welcomes the return of Curtis on Tour, The Nina von Maltzahn Global Touring Initiative of the Curtis Institute of Music. Curtis on Tour, the global touring arm of the Curtis Institute of Music, returns to Athens, Greece, to captivate audiences with an enchanting chamber music festival, a tradition upheld since 2015. This highly anticipated tour features accomplished Curtis Institute of Music alumni, esteemed for their contributions to the classical music realm.
Adding to the excitement of this year's tour is the world premiere of "Two Fantasies," a captivating string trio composed by Curtis alumnus Michael Djupstrom (Composition '11). This composition has been specially commissioned by the Curtis Institute of Music exclusively for this tour.
Distinguished Curtis alumni, including Dennis Chmelensky, Maria Ioudenitch, Emma Meinrenken, Haesue Lee, Grace Takeda, Jean Kim, Joshua Halpern, and Pallavi Mahidhara, will collaborate to deliver three sensational concerts.
The European leg of Curtis on Tour's journey will continue from Athens, with scheduled performances in prestigious venues including Konzerthaus Berlin (Germany), Salone Dugentesco, and Verceil (Italy) in October.
