Streamed live on our YouTube channel, the festival will feature never-before-seen performance footage recorded live at concerts over the last three seasons as well as a special live preview of a new SFGC commissioned choral-opera.
About Music with Changing Parts
Philip Glass and the Philip Glass Ensemble revisit the composers early work Music with Changing Parts in a re-broadcasted performance from February 2018, featuring SFGC in its Carnegie Hall debut. Premiered in New York City in 1970, Music with Changing Parts is one of Glass’ earliest compositions and a pioneering work of the minimalist movement. The current performance presents the work in a newly revised version.
