Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands and INTERNATIONAL ACTION ART with their small potential, work hard to achieve the goals of sustainable UN development to make the world a better place. CULTURE is the key, the best way to confront all the difficulties. Mr Ioannis Maronitis, president of the Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands, Member of the EB WFUCA and CEO-General President INTERNATIONAL ACTION ART participated in the teleconference about “Poetic Dialogue”. The main goal of this project is to create a special poetic videoconcert where children read poems. In this project children of two schools the T.N. Khrennikov Art School (Moscow) and the Russian Children Theater Teremok (Washington) get acquainted and discuss Russian, Greek and American poetry staying in their own countries. Even nowadays that covid19 made culture a big victim we have to prove that through culture poetry and arts, we can improve our mental health, find different and creative ways to spend our time and make our world a better place for living all together. Poetry is a basic category of speech and an ancient art form of speech. Poetry existed even before the people start writing, but it is impossible to define it, there are not exact rules. Poetry is the first form of art that man has spoken of and is the most emotional, musical and safest way of psychic revelation in people's lives; it is our "deepest" voice. The voice that comes out of us. The ancient Greeks developed epic, lyric and drama poetry. It is noteworthy that five of the nine Muses were patrons of various genres of poetry. Among the greatest poets of the world are the epic Homer, the ancient Greek tragedians Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides and the comedian Aristophanes. Poetry as a definition of Freedom, as an occasion for drastic development, was expressed by Alexander Pushkin, the greatest Russian poet who is considered as the creator of modern Russian literature. He was also as well-known philhellene. In 1817 he wrote the ode "Freedom". Maxim Gorky said for him: "For us Russians, Pushkin is the beginning of every beginning". His work captures all the principles of poetry, as well as his passion for life. From the USA is important to remember Robert Frost awarded four times with Pulitzer Prize. He also visited in 1961 Greece the Socrates country as he said. At the initiative of UNESCO in 1999, March 21st has been designated as World Poetry Day.
