In this charming opera, Figaro and his fiancée, Susanna, servants in the household of Count Almaviva, are pitted in a battle of wits against their master, who has cast a lecherous eye on the bride-to-be. Plots and romantic misadventures ensue, carried along by some of the most gorgeous music ever composed. In the end, goodness triumphs, the pairs of lovers are sorted out, and Figaro and Susanna are wed.
