This is a series of 40 hours of experiential workshops of ancient Greek drama and orchesis during summer open to all interested dancers from Greece and abroad. Lessons will explore ancient poets with emphasis on Euripides' Bacchants but also Aeschylus, Sophocles, Corinna, Sappho et a. Ancient text, prosody, movement and acting classes given by experts both in person & zoom will lead to performances for selected performers on Sept. 15 and Sept. 23 in Athens (Emmeleia Festival Dora Stratou Theatre) and Epidaurus (International Film Festival of Epidaurus).
